La Carta de Oscar directed by Malu Zamora
The Story
Oscar’s Letter offers a haunting perspective on a family in crisis. The narrative follows a mother who, consumed by the normal problems of a failing marriage and everyday life, remains unaware of the psychological torment her son is enduring at the hands of bullies. Because his desperate SOS calls go unheard at home, the boy eventually chooses to give up on life. The film is a raw, emotional study of how easily the cries for help from those we love can be drowned out by the noise of our own domestic struggles.
The Creative Vision
Directed and produced by Malu Zamora, the film showcases the strength of independent storytelling. Despite its limited budget, the project brought together a formidable cast and crew committed to the film’s social mission. The production features standout performances by Carmen Mayordomo, Gaby Moreno, and Goya Award-winner Rosana Pastor, who bring a devastating authenticity to this story of maternal guilt and missed opportunities.
